Emergency Hormonal Contraception
Emergency hormonal contraception is sometimes known as EHC or the morning after pill. It’s taken to prevent pregnancy if you’ve had unprotected sex, you’ve missed a pill or your condom has split during intercourse.
Emergency contraception is most effective within 24 hours, but it can still be used 2 - 5 days later.
Our Pharmacist at Kepple Lane Pharmacy can provide advice and supply the morning after pill to women over the age of 16 in a convenient and private consultation room.
The pharmacist will need to ask a few questions to ensure the medication is clinical suitable and to provide advice or direct you to alternative NHS services.
We want to ensure that your consultation is done with discretion and confidential so we ask when calling into the pharmacy to request to speak to the pharmacist in the consultation room.
